The head of Iran’s Department of the Environment (DoE) warned about the decrease in the water level of the Caspian Sea, attributing it to the blockage of river inflows into the Caspian Sea by neighboring countries.

Rajaie-Shahr prison in Karaj, Alborz Province, was completely evacuated and closed.
As part of the implementation of the approvals in light of the Chief Justice of Iran Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje’i’s visit to Alborz Province earlier this year regarding the relocation of Rajaie-Shahr prison, approximately half of the prisoners had been evacuated by Tuesday, July 1, 2023. As of Saturday, August 5, 2023, all prisoners from Rajaie-Shahr have been transferred to Qezel Hesar prison and Rajaie-Shahr prison has been closed.

Francesco Rocca, the president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, has appreciated the Iranian Red Crescent Society for organizing the third international congress on health in Arbaeen that was held in Tehran from August 2-4.
In a message to Pir-Hossein Kolivand, the president of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Rocca said that relief activities of the IRCS during the Arbaeen ceremony are very important. “I would like to express my appreciation to the staff, members, and volunteers of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the third international health congress Health in Arbaeen,” the message reads.
-- Voice actor Hamid Manuchehri dies at 82
Prominent Iranian voice actor Hamid Manuchehri died in a Tehran hospital on Thursday. He was 82. Born in 1941, the renowned narrator, voice actor, and actor, Hamid Manuchehri became familiar with radio performances at the age of 16.
Later he became acquainted with the profession of dubbing. In 1963, he joined Radio Iran, and in 1972, he took over the directorship of the children's radio program. Manuchehri directed several other programs until 1978.
